Wednesday Wardrobe Watch! - Prints and Pattern

Combining prints and patterns can be a challenge, if not combined just right the outfit can be too matchy matchy,  too overbearing or too well strange!

I went for a bold print on the top with a great cardigan I coveted from a clothes swap; and an old favourite of mine, (and the least favourite of my husbands who say's it looks like an old couch) on the bottom; a brocade print skirt I have had in my closet for at least 12 years! (longer than my husband I might add!)

Outfit - $15.05
Skirt - Le Chateau. purchased in 2002 - $35 (or $2.92 per year)
Cardigan - Clothes Swap - $0.00
Belt - $1.00
Shoes -  Zellers - $8.00
Leaves Necklace - Online - $1.63
Bracelets - Thrift - $1.50

Do the you think they work together?

Wednesday Wardrobe Watch! - Cost per Wear

Fall like spring are hard seasons to dress for, is going to be warm or cool, and if you live on the west coast rain or shine! This heavy stretch cotton dress is perfect for those transitional days, short enough for warm days but warm enough for when the early evening chill sets in! I purchased this dress in 2012 for full price as I loved it so much and have worn it often. This dress is a prime example of cost per wear shopping! $120 at 5 wears a year for 2 years = @12 per wear!
